Account & Login

Signing in

Forgot your password

Tap “Forgot password” on the login screen, or visit skeetercast.com
Enter your account email — we'll send a reset link
The link expires after a short time; request a new one if it lapses

Email verification

After signing up, check your inbox (and spam folder) for a verification email. If it never arrives, email us and we'll verify your account manually.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. All your messages, media, spots, and tracks are permanently removed within 30 days.

Forecasts & Data

SkeeterCast provides standard NWS forecasts for every user, free of charge
Premium members can also choose the SkeeterCast V3.2 high-resolution model
Radar uses HD NEXRAD imagery; ocean layers use NOAA and NASA data
Coverage is strongest along the U.S. coast — inland ocean layers are limited by design

If a forecast or location looks wrong, email us the location and a screenshot and we'll investigate.

Buddies, Safety & Reporting

The Buddies feature lets you message fishing friends, share catches and tracks, and post crowd-sourced condition reports. We expect everyone to keep it respectful.

Reporting content

Press and hold any message you receive to report it
Open the three-dot menu next to a buddy to report or block that user
Reports are reviewed by our team and acted on promptly

Blocking a user

Blocking a user stops them from messaging you and removes them from your buddies. Manage everyone you've blocked under Settings > Safety > Blocked Users, where you can also unblock.

To report a safety concern directly, email [email protected].

Premium & Billing

SkeeterCast is free to use. Premium unlocks the SkeeterCast V3.2 forecast model and advanced fishing tools.

Manage or cancel your subscription from Settings in the app

Notifications

SkeeterCast can send severe-weather alerts and buddy activity. Turn notifications on or off in:

App: Settings > Notifications
Device: Settings > SkeeterCast > Notifications

Troubleshooting

Location features aren't working

Make sure location permission is enabled in Device Settings > SkeeterCast > Location. “While Using” is enough for most features; “Always” is only needed to record GPS tracks in the background.

The app won't load data

Check your internet connection
Close and reopen the app
Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store
